What to expect from the exhibition
The Cezanne au Jas de Bouffan summer exhibition has a themed trail exploring work the artist did at the family home in Aix-en-Provence between 1860 and 1899. The manor was more than a home; it became Cezanne’s creative studio where he experimented with the techniques and themes that became his signature.

Masterpieces on display
The retrospective showcases a hundred pieces illustrating just how much the house influenced his art. It presents Cezanne’s favourite themes: Provençal landscapes, self-portraits, the famous bathers and still lifes in oil and watercolour.
The exhibition’s masterpieces include the iconic The Four Seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Bather and the Rocks, Game of Hide and Seek (based on Lancret), Self-Portrait in Front of a Pink Background, The Card Players, Still Life with Cherries and Peaches and The Bathers.
The exhibition displays pieces loaned by world-renowned museums in Paris, New York, Tokyo and London, giving you a fascinating insight into Cezanne, from his youth to his greatest masterpieces.
